Two unforgettable events occurred on November 24th: a special birthday for my mom and a proposal for my favorite roomie!
What makes my mother’s birthday so significant is the fact that it’s the first one we’ve all spent together. I cannot emphasize enough how grateful I am for all of the ‘firsts’ associated with 2013– but also infuriated and heartbroken– that my family was robbed of such precious time. That’s all I’ll say for fear of tainting an otherwise joyous entry. Mom, I don’t know what I’d do without you. We may not see eye to eye on everything yet I love and respect you immensely. A better Gigi, mom, and person could not be found.
Megan and Joey are engaged!! They’ve been a couple for years now, getting together not too long after we left Campus View. I suppose if I allow anyone to permanently and officially share living space with my favorite roommate it might as well be her husband. Maybe I’ll even give them a stove rigged to explode as a wedding gift.
